Starting a Meditation Practice?

As I sit with all sorts of clients, I can tell when someone has a regular meditation practice. They tend to have a kind of calm focus, even-temperateness, good humor, openness, and they typically move forward with practical effectiveness -- focused action but not exhausting effort.

If you've been drawn to meditating, but are wondering how to start, one of my favored resources are the guided meditations that Deepak Chopra and Oprah produce. One of their recent topics is on "Getting Unstuck -- Creating a Limitless Life." From time to time they are in a free-sample period where you can try it out for a few days. There is regularly nice-quality meditation information and experiences offered. If you'd like to give them a try, here's the link: https://chopracentermeditation.com/about-us

You may want to experiment for 30 days to see what this, or any meditation style, can bring to you. If you invest 2 to 20 minutes in the practice of quieting your mind each day, you won't need to ask others about the benefits -- experiment yourself and see what meditation brings to you!
